Ok I have always loved pads and tampons all my life and I really want to start collecting new packs of them but nervous about going in a shop as a guy buying a few packs of pads and tampons in my cart!
Am I weird or do you think it’s ok as I am not hurting anyone

Clerks and other customers may look at you strangely but no one really cares anymore. I went to a Dollar Tree and bought several packs of pad to donate to a shelter for homeless people and I suspect abused ladies. The lady at the reception desk didn't blink an eye. She thanked me and I felt that by the tone of her voice the facility was very grateful for them.

Hey Dave, yes, so there's no problems being a male and buying menstrual pads at the shops. In fact, most women especially the younger ones think it's sweet - I know because I've had a conversation once. As they realise your probably buying it for someone else. Though, in actual fact, I've often brought some pads for wearing when at work - The thick type like the Libra Goodnights or Poise Hourglass Super pads.
If you don't like the checkouts that much, look for a shop with self-service checkouts - They're always convenient if your buying more than about 2 packets of pads.

As I guy, located in the United States, I can say that I’ve been buying pads for years and have never once had a negative comment. At most I think I once had a female customer behind me note that we were both buying pads, (which was true,) but that was the extent of “commentary” I’ve received. I’ve been doing this for years and the assumption is that you’re buying them for a female friend, wife, daughter, etc. Granted, I have done that before, but I’ve also bought many, many pads for myself too.

I was stationed in Korea in 1975-76 up north. The PX still had belted Kotex and belts. I bought them quite often and would go through the checkout that had a young Korean clerk. She might have been 19 or 20. I think she knew they were pads as she looked a little shocked that a male was purchasing them. I bought them to take to the village.
There was a mamasan who could get you any type of girl you wanted for $5 short time and $10 overnight. I specifically remember two times (out of dozens). One time I was looking for Modess Super belted pads, about 1983, and went to the drug store and they had one package left. I took it to the young female checker and she looked at the package, and said, “these are kind of old-fashioned, are you sure”? I said yes and went my merry way. I still have a couple of these gems to this day.
The other time I was buying a couple of packs (all for play) and the young, female checker made a sort of aw, you are so sweet to do this. I smiled sheepishly.
My general rule is to go to a nearby town and find female checkers. They will love you!

Well went to a nice super store today and picked up some Tampax pearl compact and some of he always foam liners! The girl at the checkout was very young and she was so sweet she even put them in a separate bag for be with a huge smile on her face!
