Maybe that is because about 2020 CVS jacked up the prices on the products in their stores, going higher than other drug chains, supermarkets, and big box retailers. Maybe just under what the few remaining independently owned pharmacies charge. Sometime afterwards, they lowered the prices for these products on their website from their in-store shelf price, but you had to pay shipping if you ordered under a minimum value. Just about everybody who shops at CVS has a online account, and just about every week CVS emails out a coupon for 40% off one NON-SALE item. The customer's price with that 40% discount is about what Walmart charges everyday.
So, CVS had plenty of "fat" in their prices and it was no problem to drop the prices of their private label SANPRO products.
