I'm not really sure what to say about this: "The first ever 'period dignity officer' in Scotland is facing a fierce backlash after a council was accused of 'peak gender idiocy' for appointing a man to the role. Former personal trainer Jason Grant will take up the role for the Tay Cities region and his role will include promoting access to free sanitary products across schools and colleges - where he will also discuss issues around the menopause. The Scottish Government's introduction of the Period Products Act means councils and education providers are now legally obliged to offer out tampons and pads for free in a response to a period poverty campaign. Speaking about his new role, Mr Grant claimed that the issue of period dignity affects men and boys too and people regardless of gender. Posting on Twitter, [former world number one tennis player] Martina Navratilova branded the appointment 'F****** ridiculous'."
